The Youngest Rider In The Game Finishes 2nd Place At Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 2025!
At just 18 years old, downhill sensation Asa Vermette once again shows the world how good he is on two wheels with his unbelievable performance at the 2025 Red Bull Hardline Tasmania.
Held at the challenging Maydena Bike Park on February 8th, Vermette secured an impressive 2nd-place finish, underscoring his rapid ascent in the sport.
When you consider the level of competition Asa was up against, his 2nd place finish becomes even more impressive. Hardline is known for attracting some of the fastest and most fearless downhill racers. And this year’s event was no exception.
Vermette went head-to-head against many elite-level riders with many years of racing World Cups under their belts.
Vermette’s journey to the podium was nothing short of extraordinary. In the seeding runs, he clocked the fastest time of 3 minutes and 19.176 seconds. Making him the last man down the mountain.
In the finals, Vermette delivered a near flawless run. Remaining calm and composed in the start gate before dropping in. In the first two splits, Asa was 1.5 seconds back on Goldstone. But keeping his head in the game pulls the fastest time through the key section at 7.565 seconds!
By the time Asa was riding out of the woods he was only 0.9 seconds back on Goldstone. And coming to hit the biggest jumps on the track towards the finish line, Vermette gives it his all and pulls back a remarkable 0.7 seconds over the final section of the track!
Putting him in 2nd place, just 0.2 seconds behind Jackson Goldstone who clinched the top spot.
Here at The Gravity Cartel, we’re beyond stoked for Asa Vermette’s achievement at Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 2025!
