Neko Mulally is used to doing things his way. From his chainless 4th place finish at the Hafjell Worlds, or his burgeoning Kanuga Bike Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Neko is a hands-on type of guy.

For the 2022 World Cup Season, Neko decided to take the lead once again and not only build, manage, and run his own program, but also develop his very own brand of bikes to compete in events domestically and abroad.

Having ridden for some of the best World Cup teams over his career, Neko wanted to break free from any team constraints and compete on a bike of his choice and his design.

Neko is currently in testing with two separate designs to campaign the 2022 World Cup season. Starting with a blank sheet, and the assistance of legendary fabricator Frank the Welder, Neko designed a high-pivot frame and a more conventional 4-bar frame. On both frames, every detail has been poured over by Neko and hours of thought have gone into the designs.

When it came to assembling his program, Neko also scrutinized each part that would go on his machines. He hand-picked all his parts not by what the sponsor can pay, but what they can provide in terms of performance.

For his bike’s cockpit, Neko specifically reached out to SPANK for his Frameworks project due to our ‘Human Factor’ approach in our designs. With that, SPANK is proud to sponsor and have our Spike Vibrocore bars, CNC World Cup stems and Spike 160 saddles adorning his custom designed and fabricated frames for the 2022 race season

Here are a few of the nitty-gritty details on Neko’s bikes:
  • Frame: Neko Mulally designed/ FTW Fabricated Frameworks high-pivot or conventional four-bar frame
  • Fork: Fox 40
  • Shock: Fox DHX
